Q&As

We will place here all questions and answers, wherever else they appear, or however they have reached us. Q&As are ultimately the yardstick against which we can best measure how well something is understood and how widely spread interest in it is.

How does the Light Living Laboratory differ from the many other intentional, spiritual and ecological villages and settlements around the world?

What a great question. Clearly we have and are learning a lot from their experiences, after all some have been around for 50 and more years.  The fundamental difference lies in the conception – we are a con-scientific proofing model.  ‘Con-science’ is the term we use to denote today’s science which brings together the evidence of quantum physics which shows that at the level of quanta we are all connected, are even one; that accepts that consciousness shapes the material world; and that the smallest building block of matter is love. Con(scious)-science no longer differentiates between science and spirituality.

The theory the Light Living Laboratories are setting out to prove is that the consistent application of con-science in every small detail of design of the physical laboratory-village, as well as the society it will model, will result in a community, and a future, in which humanity will be in harmony with itself, nature, the planet and the universe.

How long will it be before the first members of a Light Living Laboratory will start working and living together?

There are a number of factors that will have a bearing on this – completing the initial planning; locating the right land; securing the funding for the acquisition of this land; commissioning the designers and architects; the duration of each construction phase; success in selecting the right first team; etc.

While a sense of urgency is attaching to seeing the completion of at least phase-1 of the first Laboratory, the importance of getting this first con-science laboratory properly planned will require a planning period of probably another 18 months to 2 years, ending in 2015.  Construction will at earliest commence in 2016.

This does not preclude the interim coming together of those who are able to commit themselves full time to developing the plans and the detail of life in a laboratory-village. For this reason it is never too early to make your interest in living and working in the first Light Living Laboratory know to us, and to go through the process of selection as we develop our procedures and guidelines.

Why did you choose the number 12 to define the core strands that go into the design fabric of the Laboratory?

There is probably somebody out there able to give a better explanation of the significance of ’12’, beyond what a quick search on Google will reveal. In mathematics, the duodecimal method of counting has some distinct advantages over the decimal system.  The duodecimal system is nature based, whereas the decimal system is entirely artificial.

We have found that every time we sat down to draw up a list of the key differences between assumptions under old-science and con-science, we would come up with the number 12.

!2 apostles; 12 months in the year; 12 inches in a foot; 12 witches in a coven; 12 in a dozen; 12 signs of the zodiac; 12 hours in the day and 12 in the night.

Our 12 core strands will each have at least another 12 sub-strands, which means that at least 144 different elements are taken into consideration, and evaluated for the effect on one another, in every aspect of the design and development of the the Light Living Laboratory.

  1. Hello,

I think what you are doing is absolutely wonderful. It brings so much warmth and joy to my heart.

What stage are you at in setting up your community? Have you found some land yet?
I would be very interested to hear your news and if there is anything i might be able to do in order to help actualize your vision. I am looking to set up or be a part of a community myself.

    Warm wishes,
    Eliza
